A Lifting Equipment Engineer is required to join one of the UK's leading hire equipment organisation. We form part of Ashtead Group which is a FTSE 100 and can offer you excellent training opportunities with great scope for progression, supporting you throughout your career.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Lifting Equipment Engineer you should be competent and capable to carry out on-site inspection, testing, adjustment and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of lifting and handling equipment. You will compile and present reports to the customer, discussing your findings. You will be aware of and be able to discuss all products and services offered by FLG. You will have the ability to carry out fault-finding procedures, recognise the defective items, carry out the necessary repairs effectively and restore the equipment to a safe working condition. You will also have the capability, when designated, to organise, progress and carry out major installations.
- Experienced working within a testing environment
- Experience of using heavy lifting gear or with a strong mechanical engineering background
- Have good communication skills and experience of working within a customer site
- Good time management skills
- Driving licence
- Be a strong ambassador for the company
- LEEA Qualification would be advantageous
