Roles and responsibilities

As a Lifting Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out on-site inspection, testing, adjustment and maintenance of mechanical and electrical aspects of lifting and handling equipment.

You will carry out fault finding procedures, recognise the defective items, conduct the necessary repairs effectively and restore the equipment to a safe working condition. You will also have the capability, when designated, to organise, progress and carry out major installations and have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop.

A good communicator, you will compile and present reports to the customer, discuss your findings and also be confident in discussing all products and services offered by FLG.

Skills required

  • Experienced working within a testing environment 
  • Experience of using heavy lifting gear or with a strong mechanical engineering background
  • Have good communication skills and experience of working within a customer site
  • Good time management skills
  • Driving licence
  • Be a strong ambassador for the company 
  • LEEA Qualification would be advantageous
