Interlift and FLG Services Combine to Create the UK’s Largest Dedicated Lifting and Safety Division
Following A-Plant’s purchase of Interlift’s trade and assets from EY, the administrators of Hewden in November 2016, A-Plant announces the Interlift operation has been re-branded and integrated into A-Plant’s FLG Services business, creating the UK’s largest dedicated lifting and safety provider.
Following this successful integration, FLG Services now has 24 service centres across the UK, offering lifting and safety equipment for hire or purchase. The respective products, services and teams have been brought together to create an enhanced and strengthened lifting and safety business and over the last six months, Interlift service centres, vehicles, equipment and other assets and collateral has been rebranded to FLG Services.
"There were direct synergies between Interlift and FLG Services so the integration made perfect sense and by doing this we’ve created an enhanced lifting and safety division with a huge number of benefits for our customers. In effect, it’s very much business as usual and customers will not notice any direct impact or change as they will continue to deal with their usual contacts with the added benefit from a strengthened team with a vast amount of expertise and knowledge.
"Our combined fleet of equipment is bigger, better, younger and ready for all your lifting requirements. We also sell lifting equipment from recognised suppliers, repair and test equipment either on site or within anyone of our locations with the additional benefit of on-line access to view certification. The supply, installation and testing of overhead cranes is also readily available at FLG Services."
Jeff Hudson, Director of FLG Services
A-Plant also acquired Interlift’s online sales business ‘The Rigging House’ which specialise in the sale of lifting equipment.
